Mural for Mason’s Creamery

I had the pleasure of painting dogs, ice cream, and more dogs and ice cream for the interior wall behind the counter of Mason’s Creamery in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mason’s Creamery is a beloved small batch ice cream shop run by Jesse Mason and Helen Chin in the Ohio City neighborhood. This local favorite offers flavors from coconut pandan cake ice cream to vegan lemon cream and graham cracker soft serve. In the winter, Mason’s Creamery transforms into a ramen shop (what started out as a popular pop-up idea quickly became permanent).

I drew the dogs digitally, printed them out, and then used those designs to freehand them onto the wall using acrylic paint. The dog I’m painting here is modeled after Frank, one of Helen and Jesse’s dogs! At least one other regular’s dog made it onto the wall.
